How To Calculate CUET Score : CUET Cut Off 2025
#1
To calculate your CUET score (Common University Entrance Test) accurately, you need to follow the marking scheme set by NTA (National Testing Agency). Here’s a step-by-step guide:

CUET UG 2025 Score Calculation

 Marking Scheme
  • Correct Answer: +5 marks
  • Wrong Answer: –1 mark (negative marking)
  • Unanswered/Marked for Review: 0 marks

Formula

Code:
CUET Score = (Number of Correct Answers × 5) – (Number of Wrong Answers × 1)

Example Calculation

Let’s say for a subject you attempted 50 questions:
  • Correct Answers = 42
  • Wrong Answers = 6
  • Unanswered = 2
Then:

Code:
CUET Score = (42 × 5) – (6 × 1)
            = 210 – 6
            = 204

Normalization

Since CUET is conducted in multiple shifts and question papers may vary slightly in difficulty, NTA applies a normalization process to ensure fairness. So your raw score is adjusted using a statistical method called Equipercentile Method.
  • Your normalized score (used for merit lists) may be higher or lower than your raw score.
  • Percentile Rank is also calculated to compare your score with other test takers.

Scorecard Details (CUET UG)

Your official CUET scorecard will show:
  • Raw marks per subject
  • Normalized scores
  • Percentile per subject
  • Overall rank (for participating universities)

CUET Score ≠ CUET Percentile

CUET Percentile = Number of candidates behind you ÷ Total candidates × 100
Used for university-specific cutoffs.
