To activate YouTube on a device using a code, such as a smart TV, Roku, PlayStation, or Xbox, you'll use the YT.be/activate (or sometimes youtube.com/activate) page.
Here’s how to do it step-by-step:

1. Open the YouTube App on Your TV or Device
- Navigate to the YouTube app on your Smart TV, streaming device, or console.
- Choose “Sign in” or “Link with TV code.”
- It will display a code on your screen (usually 6–8 characters).
2. On Your Phone or Computer, Go To: https://yt.be/activate
Or https://youtube.com/activate — both work the same.
3. Enter the Code
- Type the code shown on your TV/device into the box.
- Sign in with your Google/YouTube account if prompted.
4. Done!
- Your TV or device will automatically refresh and log into your YouTube account.
- You’re now activated and ready to watch.
You only need to do this once per device—unless you sign out or reset it.
