To activate your Walmart MoneyCard, follow these steps based on how you obtained the card:

If You Purchased the Card at a Walmart Store:

  1. Online Activation:
    • Visit walmartmoneycard.com/activate.
    • Enter the following details:
      • 16-digit card number
      • Expiration date
      • 3-digit security code (CVV)
      • Your Social Security number (SSN)
      • Date of birth
      • Home address
      • Mobile phone number
    • Create a username and password for your account.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation.
  2. Phone Activation:
    • Call (866) 946-2510.
    • Follow the automated prompts to activate your card.
    • Note: Activation via phone may require you to accept the terms and conditions online afterward.
  3. In-Store Activation:
    • Visit any Walmart store and request assistance at the customer service desk.
    • Provide your card details to have it activated.
If You Received the Card by Mail:

  1. Online Activation:
    • Go to walmartmoneycard.com/activate.
    • Enter the required information as prompted to activate your card.
  2. Phone Activation:
    • Call (866) 946-2510.
    • Follow the automated instructions to activate your card.
    • After activation, you may need to accept the terms and conditions online.
Using the Walmart MoneyCard Mobile App:

  1. Download the App:
    • Install the Walmart MoneyCard app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Activate Your Card:
    • Open the app and select "Activate your card."
    • Enter your card details and personal information as prompted.
Important Notes:
  • Identity Verification: Activation requires identity verification, including your SSN. If you prefer not to provide your SSN, you can activate the card in-store at a Walmart location.
