https //my.uscis.gov/account Online Access Code
#1
Here’s how to access and use your my.uscis.gov account effectively:

1. Create or Sign In to Your Account
  • Create an account at https://myaccount.uscis.gov/create-account
    • Enter your email → confirm via email → set your password → choose a Two-Step Verification method (app/SMS/email) → save backup code → pick security questions → select “myUSCIS” as service and your user type (“applicant, petitioner, or requestor”).
  • If you're signing in, go to https://my.uscis.gov/account, enter your email and password, then the one-time code from your chosen verification method .

2. Adding a Case (Including Paper-Filed)
  • After account setup, select “Add a paper-filed case” under “My Account.”
  • Enter your receipt number and Online Access Code from the USCIS notice, along with your date of birth.
  • The Access Code is printed on your receipt notice (e.g., Form I‑797C). It’s different from your receipt number.
  • If it’s missing, contact USCIS support to request a re-issue .

3. Forgot Password, Locked Out, or 2FA Issues
  • Use “Forgot your Password?” on the sign-in page. You’ll get an email link to reset; if you don’t recall your security answers, use the needhelp form:.
  • For lockouts after too many failed attempts: wait 20 minutes before retrying. If issues persist, fill out the “needhelp” form and expect a response within about 10 business days .
  • If you’ve lost access to your 2FA method, contact support via the needhelp portal to reset your authentication.

4. What You Can Do in Your myUSCIS Account
  • Track application status and receive notifications
  • Upload documents (e.g., RFE evidence)
  • Pay fees and file forms online
  • Manage biometric or interview appointments
  • Send/receive messages from USCIS
  • Add paper-filed cases for tracking
  • Update your contact/address info

5. Tips for Smooth Access
  • Use the same email address you used on any paper forms or filings .
  • Bookmark the URL that works best for you—USCIS uses both myaccount.uscis.gov and egov.uscis.gov depending on context.
  • Log in regularly to avoid expiry or lock-outs, and store backup codes and security question answers safely
